CreatedFriday, August 9th 2024
DescriptionOn June 16, 2022, in Westport, Connecticut, USA, @blueberry8398 shared a video featuring their dog, Blue, demonstrating a notable “pointing” skill. In the video, Blue gets on his hind legs and points to the author's food after being asked to show what he wants. The owner explains that while Blue had previously begged on his hind legs, this was the first instance of him using a distinct pointing gesture to communicate his desires. The author had been teaching Blue and Bella to use a “show me” command for various needs, and was pleasantly surprised by Blue’s clear signaling ability.
